result.dat not found
Hi
I have been trying to generate p p > j j j j for 100k events but everytime it stops its execution with an error results.dat not found. I did raised the question before . I also tried using MG5_aMC_v2_7_3 but sam error again. I am attaching my cluster error and output file with mg5 debug file to give more insight on what might be going wrong.

The main error I get is cannot remove results.dat everytime I try to generate this process. I have done p p > b b~ b b~ also 100k and that seems to be compiling fine without any error and so also many other process. Do you think this might be a problem related to dynamical variable ?

To be more specific the error is related to /scratch/
events.lhe input_sg.txt log.txt moffset.dat

Can you put here the log.txt present in that directory?
also what happens if you run
cd scratch/

So the log file does not contains relevant information.
Looks like the job is cancel in the middle for no madgraph related reason (more like a cluster suspend/kill)
Does your manual run is finished now?
Cheers,
Olivier

Hi
Thanks for the answer.
The problem is even when I try to do this in login nodes instead of the pbs job it still gives me error cannot remove result. dat file not found only for one sub process. The cluster problem I was getting was mostly tmp memory limited to 3Gb but I changed my TMPDIR path to scratch.
I will try to run it again.
Yes the manual run is complete now.

Which means that the issue is not on the MG5aMC side but rather on the cluster side.
Unfortunately this means that I will not be able to help you here.
