Issue with PT cuts

Asked by Caue Evangelista on 2020-06-15

Hi, dear devs!

I want to generate the following process:
p p > z g

and impose a minimum pt to the gluon. I wrote this line to my run_card:
200.0 = ptg ! minimum pt for the jets

but I received this error:
"run_card.inc:345:9:

            PTG = '200 '
              1
     Error: Symbol ‘ptg’ at (1) has no IMPLICIT type"

Is "# = ptg" a valid command in MadGraph? I need this gluon with a high pt.

Hi,

No, ptg is not valid.
You have to use ptj in that case.

Cheers,

Olivier
