Very basic question: How can I run a data card?

Asked by s on 2020-03-18

I am using madgraph for the very first time. I have ran the tutorial. I have been given a starting point "Data Card" from someone. I want to run it. What are the command line options to do this?

Hi,

Data card is not a term that I use.
So what is the content of that file?

Cheers,

Olivier

I guess its a "proc_card.dat". It essentially a list of a signal "e-N+->e-N+" i.e. scattering and some couplings labllend (QED = 2, QND = 1, others = 0), some backgrounds are also outlined.

then you can run it via
./bin/mg5_aMC PATH_TO_YOUR_FILE
