ValueError : could not convert string to float

Hi,

I am trying to generate ttWW at the FCC-100 with the subsequent leptonic decay of one of the tops and both W-bosons. The syntax I use is:

generate p p > t t~ w+ w-, t > b l+ vl, t~ > b~ j j, w+ > l+ vl, w- > l- vl~
add process p p > t t~ w+ w-, t > b j j, t~ > b~ l- vl~, w+ > l+ vl, w- > l- vl~

When running this, after the first refining stage I get the error

Error when reading SS_Leptons/Bkg/ttWW_lept/SubProcesses/P1_gg_ttxwpwm_t_qlvl_tx_qqq_wp_lvl_wm_lvl/G28.00202b0/results.dat
Command "import command /space/ga96roq/100TeVDecay.txt" interrupted in sub-command:
"launch ttWW_lept_1" with error:
ValueError : could not convert string to float:

When generating the same process, letting only one of the W-bosons decay leptonically I do not get this issue. However, generating e.g. the fully leptonic decay of tZbjj gives the same error.

The cuts I use are ptj1min = ptj2min = 500.0

I paste the content of the corresponding log file at the end of this question.

Hi Olivier,

there actually is no such file.

The only files in that folder are "events.lhe", "input_sg.txt", "moffset.dat" and some "core" file.

Can you copy paste here the beginning of events.lhe then?
It might contain the information that I'm looking for.

after that could you then run from that directory the following command
../madevent < input_sg.txt

This should overwrite the events.lhe and recreate the results.dat
(and will provide usefull log as well)

Do not see any issue within the lhe file and/or the results.dat
I guess your run crash for some reason not related to MG5aMC.

The content of the results.dat is the following:

end-code not correct 152

This means someone (or another script) send the signal SIGSTP.
This is likely related to your cluster killing the job for some reason (time limit/ressource/pre-emption/...)
I would suggest to look at the documentaton of your cluster.
