Invariant mass event

Asked by marlon

Good day sir, i already done my simulation in Madgraph and i extracted my Rootfile to further analysis and i notice something, i got a data points in my events vs invariant mass which has events less than 1 , i mean fraction event. I hope you can gimme a good explanation about this. by the way i got a binning of event/0.3TeV.

Hi,

1) What do you plot in the y axis?
Number of events? sum of the weights, average of the weights,....

2) What type of generation are you doing? Do you have source of negative events? (non positive PDF, NLO, non definitive positive matrix-element)

Cheers,

Olivier

Okay my bad, actually i found out that the data points accounts for invariant mass with zero events. Sorry for the disturbance sir. I just get confused because when i do log scale the y-axis i notice some error bars from below 1. By the way thank you for the fast response. Cheers.
