photon initiated process at NLO

Hello

I was trying to run photon initiated interactions at NLO accuracy, considering only the elastic photons.
The following process is considered:
generate a a > t t~ [NLO]
output aa2ttNLO
launch
set lpp1 2
set lpp2 2
done

For the inelastic photons (lppX 1) the NLO works w/o any error. However, for elastic, I receive a "KeyError: 2" with the following line:

  File "/afs/cern.ch/work/m/mpitt/TEST/MG5_aMC_v2_6_7/madgraph/interface/amcatnlo_run_interface.py", line 3024, in print_summary
    (process[:-3], lpp[self.run_card['lpp1']], lpp[self.run_card['lpp2']],
KeyError: 2

What is the correct way to run gamma gamma collisions at NLO, for elastic proton interactions?

Hi,

We are currently looking at that mode to see what we need to do to support this. I have some unclear issue on how to modify the code and waiting for the opinion of other authors on how to do this.

Note that we do not have made huge validation for this mode at NLO (I was actually surprised that you went that far inside the computation).

a specific version of the code (to be release as part of 2.6.8) and/or the patch to apply to make it work.

As stated before the amount of validation on this is very minimal so please check carefully your result.
