A Spin 3/2 Particle Decay

Asked by Jeong Han Kim

Dear MadGraph team,

Is the decay of spin 3/2 particle fully supported by MadGraph?

For example, spin 3/2 particle can decay into a top and a photon (i.e. T_{3/2} -----> t photon )in the Eq.(2.11) of https://arxiv.org/pdf/1808.03649.pdf

I'm asking this because I'm getting a strange DeltaR_{t, photon} distributions, where there is a couple of weird peaks.

In order to check this, I used MadSpin to decay T_{3/2} -----> t photon, but this doesn't work with the following error message.

Command "generate_events " interrupted with error:
InvalidCmd : The number of of incoming/outcoming fermions are different

From the error, you have an issue with the fermion flow.
Did you try to do
 T_{3/2} -----> anti-t photon

I guess this should pass. Then you have to look at your model implementation if this is not the decay that you want/expect.

Olivier
