Anti-kt large R jet info?

Asked by Sahibjeet Singh

Hi Madgraph experts,

I am using MG5@NLO+Pythia8 for a study and was wondering if there is a way to convert the hepmc3 output files into .root format while retaining anti-kt large R=1.0 jet information. I know that MG5 has an option for which reclustering algorithm to use however I do not see how that information can be accessed from a root file.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Sahibjeet Singh

Hi,

Converter from hepmc3 to root should exists. However I never use root so I will not be able to assist on this matter. When you have converted your files it should be simple to run fastet on it and create a new root file if needed.

Another solution is to just read the hepmc file (with the hepmc C++ library) call fastjet and store the information in a root file.

Cheers,

Olivier
