Values of cross sections for WH and ZH production

Asked by Maksym Ovchynnikov

I simulated the cross sections for the production of the Higgs bosons in association with W and Z:

generate p p > w+ h
add process p p > w- h

for W, and

generate p p > z h

for Z.

It turned out that they are ~2 times larger than the cross sections computed within the NLO accuracy:

What can be a reason for this?

Did you look at the associated paper and apply the equivalent cut?
Looks like that they put quite strong cut and therefore this is not surprising that they cross-section is much smaller.

Cheers,

Olivier
