Change in scalefact overwritten

Dear MG5 team,

I'm trying to generate a sample for systematic study where I change scalefact to 0.5.

Somewhere in the log file I get the following line, showing that the change is passing:

09:52:30 Py:MadGraphUtils INFO "scalefact" = 0.50

But soon after it says:

09:52:34 Since use_syst=T, We change the value of 'scalefact' to 1

So it seems that the change is being overwritten. How can I overcome this? Should I just set use_syst = False somewhere in the Job Options?

Hi,

Yes settings use_syst to False will allow to use that parameter.
The advantages to keep use_syst to True is that you can use systematics.py script (called by default) in order to compute all the systematics uncertainty without the need to run them one one by one (which is at then end quite cpu intensive)
