Asked by daniel camargo

Hey guys,

sorry, a naive one: What is the easiest way to add new features (for example dilepton invariant mass or combinations of Pts) to the LHCO file of MG5?

Thanks!

Hi,

LHCO format are now obsolete but ok.

The question is how do you create such format?
MG5aMC does not produce directly such format as output.
Only PGS and Delphes code are producing such format
(PGS is now not supported since 5 to 10 years and Delphes does not produce lhco output
by default anymore)

for PGS, you will need to hack the main code to change the format.
for Delphes since this is not their standard output, you will need to hack the root2lhco converter that they provide.

I guess that you can use the dummy column for that.

Do not ask me more details since I have no additional clue.
But you can contact the authors of those tools.

Cheers,

Olivier
