Fail to produce pythia-6 output

Asked by shenty1991

Hi,

As I am producing some events with matching turned on, the output gives:

Fail to produce pythia output. More info in
     /Users/shenty1991/Dropbox/mg5_2_4_3/LNV/signal_ee2j_O2/Events/100TeV_100Events/tag_1_pythia.log

in the pythia.log it reads:

dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/gfortran/lib/libgfortran.3.dylib
  Referenced from: /Users/shenty1991/Dropbox/mg5_2_4_3/pythia-pgs/src/pythia
  Reason: image not found

Do you know how I can solve the problem? I tried to install pythia8 again, but failed. Now I am using pythia 6 as shower.

Thank you very much!

Hi,

From the log file it seems that you have some missmatch of library. I guess that you compiled your py6 library a long time ago and that in the meantime you update your os (or since you seem to use Dropbox , compile it on a different os).
And therefore the gfortran library that is dynamicaly linked at run time is not available.

Cheers,

Olivier

PS: Note that PY6 is not supported anymore. (neither is mg5amc 2.4.3)

Can you help with this problem?
