meaning and effect of pdgs_for_merging_cut parameter

Asked by Priscilla Pani on 2018-10-11

Hello,
I would like to know the effect and meaning of the pdgs_for_merging_cut parameter.
In particular if it needs to be set to:
1, 2, 3, 4, 21
if the generation and pythia flavour scheme is 4.

Sorry if some documentation already exists and I could not find it, in that case, please
point me to it and I will study it.

Thanks in advance and cheers
Priscilla

Hi,

This parameter is only used of CKKW-L type of matching/merging.
They determine which set of particle are taken into account for the CKKW-L cut:
of either kt durham or pt lund cut.

I have never play with such merging method and therefore I'm not the correct contact.
The best here is to contact Stefan Prestel if you are interested in such type of merging.

Cheers,

Olivier
