Asked by Ilirjan Margjeka

Hi Olivier,

I have installed the latest version of Pythia8 in my MadGraph version MG5_aMC_v2_6_1 together with pythia-pgs and Delphes-3.4.1.
I am not able to run the Pythia8 inside MadGraph adn I always get this error:

Hello again,

I have found very interesting discussion here, which is related to pythia8 errors above:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/mg5amcnlo/+bug/1650664

It looks like that we just have to ignore these errors, because it is just problem in compilation of examples, but pythia itself is
installed successfully.
And it is true, code is working for me if I try generate anything.

It is really confusing to see a lot of errors in log file during pythia8 installation. Could authors just change error message in log file to something like this:

"Warning in example compilation ...."

It could help for people, who looks in log file, but not experts...

Best regards, Anna

In principle, the installation of examples are not done anymore (since last week)

Cheers,

Olivier
