Some tests failed - crash

Dear MadGraph Team,

I am using an SMEFT model to generate some samples for diboson production in 4 lepton final state following the FxFx merging procedure in http://amcatnlo.cern.ch/FxFx_merging.htm

My runs however crash with the following error

Error detected in "launch aMC@NLO"
write debug file /scratch/dbarducc/Diboson_14_NLO/nojet_M/qsub/runs/diboson_nojet_M_10_10_run_1/run_01_diboson_nojet_M_10_10_run_1_debug.log

aMCatNLOError : Some tests failed, run cannot continue.
 Please check that widths of final state particles (e.g. top) have been set to 0 in the param_card.dat.

where however I don't have any final state particles except than muons and electrons. I had a look on the forum, but it seems that I can't relate my issue with any of the existing ones.

My process is

generate p p > mu+ mu- e- ve~ NP=2 [QCD] @0
generate p p > mu+ mu- e- ve~ j NP=2 [QCD] @1

and for the run_card.dat and shower_card.dat I'm following the istruction of the FxFx matching guide.

The debug file says

Which model are you using exactly (and where can I get it) and with which parameters? I would like to reproduce your results so that I can understand what the error could be.

b.t.w, I assume that you generated your process with

generate p p > mu+ mu- e- ve~ NP=2 [QCD] @0
add process p p > mu+ mu- e- ve~ j NP=2 [QCD] @1

i.e., not with the 'generate' in the 2nd line. Is that correct?

Thanks for sending the model and parameters.

The issue you are having is that the automatic coupling setting doesn't work correctly for this process. You'll have to specify it explicitly by hand. [If you check all the diagrams, you would see that you get a lot of diagrams that have also EW divergences which are not regulated, in particular in there real-emission contractions to the +jet process]. It would be the following:

generate p p > mu+ mu- e- ve~ NP<=1 HIG=0 HIW=0 QCD<=0 QED<=4 [QCD] @0
add process p p > mu+ mu- e- ve~ j NP<=1 HIG=0 HIW=0 QCD<=1 QED<=4 [QCD] @1
