Delphes not involved

Asked by Ilirjan Margjeka

Hi,

I have installed Delphes inside MadGraph but I don't get the option like:

The following switches determine which programs are run:
/=================== Description ===================|================== values ===================|=== other options ===\
| 1. Choose the shower/hadronization program | shower = Pythia6 ⇐ ̶P̶Y̶T̶H̶I̶A̶8̶ ̶ | OFF|Pythia6 |
| 2. Choose the detector simulation program | detector = PGS | OFF |
| 3. Choose an analysis package (plot/convert) | analysis = MadAnalysis5 | OFF|ExRoot |
| 4. Decay onshell particles | madspin = OFF | ON|onshell |
| 5. Add weights to events for new hypp. | reweight = ON | OFF |
\=======================================================================================================

Choose the detector simulation program Delphes.

Why? How can I fix that?

I'm using MG5_aMC__v2_6_1 version

Cheers

Hi,

Are you sure that Delphes is installed correctly?
what is the path indicated by display options delphes

Do you have in that path the following executable?
DelphesSTDHEP

Cheers,

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

I installed Delphes by doing :

./../bin/mg5_aMC
MG5_aMC> install Delphes
and the installation successfully succeed.

So the Delphes directory is in the MG5 directory like /MG5_aMC_v2_6_1/Delphes

Yes, I have in that path the following executable DelphesSTDHEP.

I mean, it should appear as a option to choose, the same like Pythia6/Pythia8 that it allows to change between them.

Cheers!
I.M.
