Generate ww scattering with higgs boson

Asked by Songshaptak De

Hi all,

How to generate ww scattering process in Madgraph with Higgs boson as an intermediate particle ? (Ref Feynman Diagram in the paper arXiv:1010.5848 [hep-ex]) ? Thanks in advance!

I do not know exactly what diagram you want.

Havins only the diagram showed in the paper, where the t-channel is a Higgs, requires to use some advanced method of diagram filtering since the quite insane syntax:

define removeallbuthw = all / h w+ w-
generate p p > w+ w- j j QCD=0 / removeallbuthw $$ all , w+ > mu+ vm, w- > mu- vm~
leave a second diagram (the 4-W one).

Note that keeping only that diagram is likely to break gauge invariance. Note that when using MG5aMC with a subset of diagram which breaking of gauge invariance, our result is not lorentz invariant (which is fine since the result is anyway arbitrary)

Cheers,

Olivier
