How to put a cut on an intermediate particle ?

Asked by Songshaptak De

Hi,
I am generating a process: p p > w+ w- j j, w+ > j j, w- > e- ve~ and want to impose a cut on Pt of the intermediate particle 'w' boson.
What syntax I have to write in the script 'cuts.f' so that my purpose gets served ?

Thanks for the instruction.
But in order to recognize the w-boson I need to extract the pdg code (which is 24).... So, how to extract out the pdg code of a particle ?

Hi,

You will not have the w-boson in that set of momenta. So you will need to contruct it from the final state particles.

Olivier
