"The number of incoming/outcoming fermions are different"

Asked by Joydeep Roy

Hello,

I was just trying to run on MG my own written model file with leptoquark (LQ) in it . I was trying to generate the process "p p > lq lq~ , (lq > t mu-, t > w+ b), (lq~ > t~ mu+, t~> w- b~) " , but there is an error message saying "The number of incoming/outcoming fermions are different".

There is no issue while making the UFO file on Mathematica, but the log file says that ''decay.py' not written' ! Can please anybody help with this problem ?

Thanks,
Joydeep

Hi,

Did you try:
> p p > lq lq~ , (lq~ > t mu-, t > w+ b), (lq > t~ mu+, t~> w- b~)

The error means that you have some fermion flow issue that are obvious from your syntax.
Therefore it should be part of the decay.
More than that I can not comment.

Cheers,

Olivier

Thanks Olivier, for the suggestion. I tried that but there is new error message now:

"'PRIVATE 'GetInOrder[P$IndexDelta[Index[Gluon, Ext[1]], Index [Gluon, Int[1]]]]'

I don't understand this !

This means that your UFO format is wrongly formatted.
(It does not follow the convention)
Please check your model.

Do you have any comment on why 'Decay.py' file is not generated ?

Did you ask FR to generate it?

Is there any way to generate that while creating the '.fr' file ? I don't know that, I'm not an expert of Feynrules. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Joydeep

I'm not an FR expert either actually ( I do not have it install)
But yes you should run one specific command in FR to have that file written.
Look at their manual and/or tutorial to find such command.

Olivier
