nlo fixed order LHE event file!

Asked by msadek

Hello,

I have a question about the NLO fixed order mode and the differential distribution:

Let's take the process pp--> t tbar [QCD] as an example. One can plot the differential distributions from the LHE event file generated in the NLO fixed order run mode by choosing 'FO_ANALYSIS_FORMAT = LHE' in the FO_analysis_card.dat. Is it correct? are they equivalent to those obtained by HwU analysis format?

Cheers,
Sadek

Hi,

They are technical difference, (like some partial unweighting is performed with the LHE output to limit the number of events and on the way to combine the different iteration)
but other than that yes, you can use those event to plot the differential distribution at fix order.

Cheers,

Olivier
