pp > hhjj total cross-section

Asked by Luca

Dear Experts,

I want to write an analysis for the process pp > hhjj at LO at COM Energy of 100 TeV. I have generated .lhe files in two different ways:

1. generate p p > h h j j [QCD]

and then I run the process at LO.

2. generate p p > h h j j

I then analyze the two processes using madanalysis. However the two procedures lead to very different results already at the inclusive level - the total cross-section differs by a factor of ~2. Is there any obvious reason for this behaviour?

ps. The second procedure sometimes fails after producing the .lhe file with the error

I have done some extra tests and the difference seems to be related to the cuts applied at the runcard level - the default runcards have different cuts on jets (and for some of them I cannot find an exact correspondence...).
