LO+PY8 support for LHeC collisions?

Hi,

This might be more a question for the PY8 people than MG, but is LO+PY8 supported for ep collisions? I am trying with MG5_aMC_v2_5_0_beta2 but finding pretty bad acceptance (~100 evts / 5k) for a simple SM process (e- b~ > t~ ve). I have also added the line "Beams:idA = 11" to my pythia8_card.dat file but find little change in the acceptance rate.

Hi Richard,

The default PY8 shower is unfortunately not capable of correctly handling LHeC collisions. The good news is that for that, the new DIRE shower plugin can be used. The bad news is that DIRE does not yet get shipped with MG5_aMC. Hopefully, that will change soon, if enough people are interested. Thanks for asking!
