multi_run error, No such file or directory '.../unweighted_events.lhe'

I am doing multi_run in ./bin/madevent. Everything is fine until the end which says:

I check the folder /Events/run_06, there is nothing, not even the banner. I guess this problem arises from somewhere in the run_card, but I don't know where exactly.

Hi,

Looks like it tries to collect the events after only one run done.
So do you ask for only one run in the multi_run mode?

In any case, you have only one event generated which is the sign of a problem likely due to an integrable singularity.
Did you define the correct cut to prevent that?

I can more than one run in multi_run. This problem persists. So I did some test run by "multi_run 2". In my question I copied only the summary for the second run: run_06_1. When I did " multi_run 2", three folders were created: run_06, run_06_0, run_06_1. The last two folders look very normal, containing all files I expect. It's just that there is nothing in the first folder. When I open index.html, I can check the banner and stuff for run_06_0 and run_06_1, but not for run_06. It says "error" in the banner box. I ran madanalysis with the lhco files. I couldn't see anything strange. Is it possible that I can still use those files without worrying about this error notification.

Dear Ray,

If you have only 1 event generated in the run_06_1 and similarly in run_06_0, this means that your event sample are not reliable.
This is likely why the code refuse to merge the sample since a simple merging method is likely to not be accurate.

Therefore I would not use such result with that few events generated.

I am having same problem although I generated 10K with each run with total of 20K in "multi_run 2" mode.

please open your own bug report with the details of your generation/....
