param_card.dat is not a valid param_card. after parameter scan

Asked by guy pitman

I am running a parameter scan using madevent to reset parameters multiple times. This has done 470 sets of parameters and then crashed with
Command "import command ME3.cmd" interrupted in sub-command:
"generate_events" with error:
InvalidCmd : /imports/rcs5_data/guyp/MG5_aMC_v2_3_3/bs4_3/Cards/param_card.dat is not a valid param_card

It looks like extra spaces have been added on the end of each parameter line and maybe the rows are too long?

Thank you

Regards
Guy

I thought I might work around this problem by running a shell command to copy in a fresh param_card.dat before generate_events and overwriting parameters, but it appears that it doesnt re-read the param_card.dat from file. Can you suggest any way to work around this as I am running over 5000 sets of events , multiple times.

Many thanks

I mean to this thread:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1513740
(the advantage of this one is that you can attach file)
