Setting Yukawa Couplings to Zero in UFO file

Asked by shibasipu

Dear Olivier,
I have successfully generated the UFO files for a new physics model. Now I want certain yukawa couplings to zero.
Can I directly set those yukawa coupling to zero in the "coupling.py" file ? Then I will import this model again in MG5. Will it work ?

Regards,
Shiba

Olivier Mattelaer suggests this article as an answer to your question:
FAQ #2312: “FR Model much slower than build-in MG model. Why and how to fix?”.

Dear Olivier,
i am not worried about speed. I want to put the yukawa couplings to zero and then do gauge invariance check.
Can I directly set those yukawa coupling to zero in the "coupling.py" file ? Then I will import this model again in MG5. Will it work ?

Regards,
Shiba

The best way is to use the method that is describe in the FAQ (independently of the speed).
But your method should work. If you restart MG5 between the two.
In case, that it does not, please remove all file with extension .pkl from the model.

Cheers,

Olivier

Thanks Olivier Mattelaer, that solved my question.
