redirect hepmc output

Hello,

I would like to use a fifo to be able to process events generated with aMC@NLO directly with Rivet (due to disk space constrains).
This would be something like:

./bin/generate_events --hepmc-output=fifo.hepmc & rivet --analysis=myanalysis fifo.hepmc

However, I need first of all to be able to redirect my hepmc output to a specific file, is this possible?

Dear Ines,
what you are asking is not possible with the current madgraph5_amc@nlo version.
I will try to have a look if the creation of a fifo pipe is possible in the current framework.
I will let you know,
