questions about run_card

Asked by karo

Hi,

I worked on the wbf process pp>zjj,z> vv. I applied wbf cut in run_card, and it included PTj, mjj, eltaeta, etaj. I have confused about PTj.

I applied PTj > 40. That should mean the minimum pt for all jets. Is it right ? If that's right, that cut should be the same as ptj1min>40, ptj2min>40 (the minimum pt for the first second jet in pt). But the cross sections in two cut ways are different, the error is 3%~4%.

Another question, in my opinion, the auto_ptj_mjj just work when xqcut is non zero. It should not work if xqcut is zero. In my wbf process pp> zjj,z>vv, the results are different when auto_ptj_mjj turns on or turns off. I don't know what the auto_ptj_mjj should be for wbf process.

Thanks in advance
Karo

Hi,

Did you set QCD=0 in order to have WBF?
if not then you do not have WBF...

Otherwise all difference should be seen in accordance with the statistical error associate. Could you provide the numbers?

Do you have ickkw=1?

Cheers,

Olivier
