detector simulation

Asked by Nami

Dear MG experts
i used MadGraph to generate evets for Zp decay.
In case with no any detector simulation i got 13 events (gen level) . while once i used delphes it gives me 2 events .
i know for the detector simulation one has to lose events according to detector geometry. but in fact i used a delphes card with abs(eta)=4 for both electrons and muon, with no changes .
So, the question how can i get both gen simulation and detector simulation matched???
Thanks a lot

Hi Emy,
it is already surprising that you only have 13 events.
Could you write down in detail what are the commands
that you typed to get there? Starting from the generate
command going on, also indicating what are your
answers to the questions the python shell asks.
And also could you attach the run_card you used?
Thanks.
Cheers.

Dear Dr Paolo
Thanks a lot for your interest, and i apologize for inconvenience.
i have found my mistake, but there is aquestion .
How can i turn off all cuts applied in the run card for final state particles ( pt , eta , mass , etc)??????
Thanks again

Dear Emy Nami,

for quantities like pT, dr and mass, you just set
the value of the cut to 0. For eta you set it to -1
(or in general < 0).

Cheers.
Paolo
