jet energy cut in ZZ+jets

Hello, I am trying to produce p p-> Z Z+ j, and I want the parton to have P4>8 and pt>0. But the energy cut does not seem to work, the P4 distribution stars from 0.
My process is p p ->Z Z j, QCD=1, and the energy cut I apply is
 8.0 = ej ! minimum E for the jets
 0 = ptj ! minimum pt for the jets
 So I am wondering if there is a cut that can solve my issue.

The energy cut are done in the rest-frame and not in the lab-frame, that should (probably) explains why you have this difference.
