Using MW with a W meson as a final state

Asked by Juan Pablo Gomez

Dear MadWeight experts,

I need to use MadWeight 5 with a W meson as a final state.
So, I have two questions:

1. Is it right to write the process as:
generate p p > t t~ QED=99, (t > W+ b),(t~ > W- b~, W- > l- vl~)

2. Could you please give me an example of the line in the LHCO file that corresponds to the W?
I mean the LHCO would be something like:
0 280 3
1 4 -0.146783 -0.786656 97.5603 13.5912 1 2 0 0 0
2 4 -1.20802 -1.67229 61.684 11.6912 1 2 0 0 0
3 line for W
4 1 0.270271 1.23739 87.1568 0.1057 -1 0 0 0 0
5 6 0.183103 -2.57326 25.4439 0 1 0 0 0 0
Is it right?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers,

JP

This is actually not supported to have transfer functions on unstable particles.
I can discuss this point with Pierre to see what we can do for this.

Don't hesitate to re-contact us if we forget to get back to you.

Cheers,

Olivier

Thanks a lot for your help Oliver, it would be great (and I would be very grateful) if you (Pierre and you) find an option to do it.
Have a nice day,

JP
