Pythia reading weights above unity from MG5 output
So I generated a bunch of events, and noticed that the Delphes file was surprisingly small. The pythia.log file reports only 845 number of points generated, even though 50k were "tried".
The events that are included come from the full range of the madgraph .lhe file, rather than just a small subset, so the code is clearly reading the entire file. But I get the following messages in the pythia.log that I don't know how to interpret to understand what is going on.
First:
Advisory warning type 9 after 332 PYEXEC calls:
(PYPTIS:) Weight 1.1988E+00 above unity
(this type of message is repeated many times with different numbers of PYEXEC calls and different weights)
Second:
Total number of errors, excluding junctions = 54256
Total number of errors, including junctions = 54257
Total number of warnings = 5
Fraction of events that fail fragmentation cuts = 0.98310
This is part of a larger run of different param_cards, and only a handful of sets have this. Most of the runs have the full or near the full 50k points generated in MG.
