Higgs -> b b branch tation

Asked by Huanian Zhang

Hi Professor,

I have one question about the Higgs decay. I work in mssm frame. Below is my process:

generate p p > t1 t1~, (t1~ > x1- b~, (x1- > n1 w-, w- > j j)), (t1 > n2 t, (n2 > n1 h1, h1 > b b~), (t > b w+, w+ > l+ vl))
add process p p > t1 t1~, (t1~ > x1- b~, (x1- > n1 w-, w- > l- vl~)), (t1 > n2 t, (n2 > n1 h1, h1 > b b~), (t > b w+, w+ > j j))
add process p p > t1 t1~, (t1 > x1+ b, (x1+ > n1 w+, w+ > l+ vl)), (t1~ > n2 t~, (n2 > n1 h1, h1 > b b~), (t~ > b~ w-, w- > j j))
add process p p > t1 t1~, (t1 > x1+ b, (x1+ > n1 w+, w+ > j j)), (t1~ > n2 t~, (n2 > n1 h1, h1 > b b~), (t~ > b~ w-, w- > l- vl~))

For a stop of mass 413.6 GeV, my calculation of the cross section for the above process is 4 * 14.589 = 58.356 fb, while the Madgraph gives 29.00 fb (parton level).

And I check every sigle step and find the problem is the Higgs decay. The higgs decay will give a factor of 2. Why the higgs decay will introduce such a discrepancy?

Thank you very much and have a good day.
