P.ID branch In output Root File

Asked by Muhammad Ahmad

I have produced some events , I got a root file for it . Now i Want to MakeClass of the root files , so that i can acess the variables value then i can fill histograms of my own choice . From where i can get the info about the variavbles produced in root file . Specially i can find Particle ID of each particle produced in event,
For Example if I am producing
h->ZZ->4leptons .
how can i get total number of Leptons , minium pt of lepton in every events , minimum mass in every event, etc .
for that i must need their P.ID . But i can not find in root file .Please guide

Hi,

In order to create root file automatically, you can use ExRootAnalysis:
(./bin/mg5
mg5> install ExRootAnalysis
)

For more information on the root format, I will refer you to the associate manual.

Cheers,

Olivier

Hi Muhammad,

Please contact ExRootAnalysis author and/or read their manual, since I have zero knowledge of that output format.
For sure the information should be in.
Note that attachment didn't go through Launchpad. (and in any case, I can't browse root file on my computer due to a display compatibility problem)

Cheers,

Olivier
