MGME5> pythia run_01 : Attribute Error

Asked by Matthew Inglis-Whalen

Hi all,

I've been creating events for gluino pair production. I need to manually alter the event.lhe files after they are generated, then I wish to run pythia on these generated events. After generating 10k events, I leave MG5 and enter the process directory. While in the process directory, I type:

user> bin/madevent
MGME5> pythia run_01

Which then gives the output:

compile directory
Command "pythia run_01" interrupted with error:
AttributeError: 'MadEventCmdShell' object has no attribute 'run_card'
Please report... etc...
More information... etc...
Please attach... etc...

The full debug log is:
pythia run_01

I was hoping that I could simply continue the whole generation/hadronization/detector simulation process after I change the .lhe files, but no such luck.

This error occurs regardless of whether or not I alter the event.lhe files. If there is a workaround I would be happy to hear it, but as it stands I see no way of continuing the process using MadGraph. (v1.5.9)

Apparently this message does not appear with MadGraph v1.5.5 so I'm going back to that version for now.

Hi Matthew,

I'll look at that problem tomorrow.

Thanks a lot for your email,
