How to set parameters for RS gravitons ?

Asked by Jason Carl Carson

I was wondering how one changes the warp factor "kappa" and the first excited KK grav mass in the RS model implemented in madgraph 5.

Sorry by kappa i mean the k warping factor that one would find in the theory. where k is between .01 and .1

Hi Jason,
If kappa is the warping factor (btw 0.001 and 0.1), it is related to the mass of the first mode of the graviton as:

kappa=mn/(xn LRS) , where mn is the nth KK mode and xn is the nth root of the bessel function. For n=1, you have the first mode of the graviton and x1=3.83. LRS is the cutoff of your theory. To get a specific kappa you should choose the mass of the graviton and LRS accordingly.

In MG5 you have LRS and the mass of the graviton as external parameters.
I hope that answers your question, if not, please let me know!
Cheers,
Priscila
