Asked by SELMI

hello;
i find the parameter of 2HDM but i don't find "tan(beta)" in this model.
So,how you can use the paramater "tan(beta)" in the lagrangien of 2HDM (MG5)??

Looks like the 2HDM model is in the Higgs basis and therefore tan(beta) is not an input parameter of the model.

Cheers,

Olivier

Hello Selmi,

I believe what you need is the 2HDM Calculator, found here:
http://madgraph.hep.uiuc.edu/Calculators/TwoHiggsCalc/index.html

This calculator includes an interface to go from the generic basis (including tan(beta) as a parameter) to the Higgs basis. It also calculates the mass spectrum, mixing matrix, and decay widths (at leading order). Please note that you need to register to the MadGraph home page to use the tool (http://madgraph.hep.uiuc.edu/cgi-bin/Register/register_page.pl).

You can also download the calculator from http://madgraph.hep.uiuc.edu/Downloads/Calculators.tar.gz.

All the best,
Johan
