parameters for Higgs generation?

Asked by pietro govoni

Hello,

I am generating SM Higgs with a scan in its mass and I found in the parameters card two places where to set its mass and two places where to set its width:

   25 1.250000e+02 # set of param :1*MH, 1*MP
  9000006 125.000000 # h1 : MH

and:

DECAY 25 4.070000e-03 # set of param :1*WH, 1*WH1
DECAY 9000006 0.004070 # h1 : WH

what is the meaning of the two? Should I put them both in, or only one? Is there an example that I can follow?

Best regrds,

pietro

Hello Pietro,

Which model and settings are you using? When I do, e.g.,
import model sm
generate p p > t t~ h
output

I don't get any entries in the param_card.dat relating to particle 9000006.

All the best,
Johan

Hello Johan,

Thanks for your answer.
I am using the heft model, to generate the gluon fusion process.

Best regards,

pietro

Hello Pietro,

Aha. In the heft model, there is also a pseudoscalar "higgs", called 9000006. If you are using the default restriction card, there is only one "higgs" mass (entry 25 in the MASS block) and only one "higgs" width. The pseudoscalar parameters are only for information.

All the best,
Johan
