conversion of pt,m diagrams

Asked by Marcel Rothering

Hello,

I have a stupid question:

How can I convert the diagrams sigma/bin - pt into a d sigma/dpt - pt diagram?...and also the same for the mass? what exactly means a barn over bin in the output?..Thanks a lot..

"barn over bin" means that the value in each bin correspond to the following:

 \int_bin dp+t \frac{d\sigma}{dp_t}

This gives the best estimate of the differential cross-section.

>How can I convert the diagrams sigma/bin - pt into a d sigma/dpt - pt diagram?.

This is the same things (up to the point that the first one is a discrete functions)

Cheers,

Olivier
