susy particle naming compliance with SLHA2

Asked by Gauthier

Hi,

I was wondering if MG was compliant with the SLHA2 conventions for sparticles naming (see http://arxiv.org/pdf/0801.0045v3 on pp. 16 and 30 for instance).

Indeed, in a custom UFO I produced with FR (based on rpvmssm.fr by Benjamin Fuks), PDG codes are attributed to squarks arranged in an increasing mass order (along the SLHA2 prescription). But MG, when renaming squarks by dl, dr, sl, sr,... doesn't take this into account so that I get for instance the fairly confusing interactions
370: d~ go dr QCD=1
371: d~ go b2 QCD=1 !
372: s~ go b1 QCD=1 !
373: s~ go sr QCD=1
374: b~ go dl QCD=1 !
375: b~ go sl QCD=1 !

Is there a way to tell MG what are the correct dl, dr, ...?
A possible workaround is to change PDG codes in the UFO definition of sparticles: it works but that doesn't look very elegant to me.

Note also that even if general left-right sparticle mixing are introduced MG, still use the notation dl, dr,... which adds one other layer of confusion...

Cheers,
Gauthier

Dear Gauthier,

What you need is probably the following command:
import command XXXXXX --modelname
In that case MG didn't play with the name of the particles and keeps the convention that you choose in your model.
But in both case, MG didn't modify the name of the particles following a mass spectrum.

Cheers,

Olivier
