Asked by Juan Pablo Gomez

Dear all, I would like to know if there is an interface to convert between lhco and CMSSW formats (in both directions).
Thanks in advance,

Hi JP,

I'm pretty sure that such tools exists (since the number people of CMS using MadWeight) so you can maybe contact arnaud pin (in cc: arnaud.pin__AT_uclouvain.be)
Otherwise, they are a way to convert lhco in root format. The program is ExRootAnalysis. But I don't know if this is what you want.

Cheers,

Olivier

Hi Olivier, thanks a lot, I will follow your advice.
By the way, I was reviewing ExRootAnalysis because it could be useful, but when I installed it, I didn't find the ExRootLHCOlympicsWriter, just the ExRootLHCOlympicsConverter, is it because the version I am using? or should I do something else?
Thanks again,

JP

I don't now if there is a version of ExRootLHCOlympicsWriter in MG5 but there is one in the ExRootAnalysis subversion repository:

https://server06.fynu.ucl.ac.be/projects/ExRootAnalysis/browser/trunk/test/ExRootLHCOlympicsWriter.cpp
