Hi Bruce,

I don't have enough information in order to help you, and this should be a configuration problem of your computer.
So I have a couple of questions/commands to run

1) Is this happening for a specific model/processes? (did you face the same problem for p p > e+ e- for example?)
2) Could you send your proc_card? (and your model if this is not one of the MG5 default)
3) Could you do the following codes and reports the associate output:
cd SubProcesses/P0_XXXXXXXXXXXXX
./ajob1
cd G1
../madevent <input_app.txt

 Thanks for your help,

Olivier

Could you

Dear experts,

I have the same problem with the command "generate events", e.i., the pythia remains for a lot of time runs without any response and when I stooped the run it show me the following,

Error detected in sub-command generate_events
write debug file /home/daniel/Documents/MadGraph5/CSU/run_06_tag_1_debug.log
If you need help with this issue please contact us on https://answers.launchpad.net/madgraph5
KeyboardInterrupt :
stopping all operation
in order to quit madevent please enter exit

This happens with specific processes/model. Some idea? Thanks

Can you help with this problem?
