Additional Cuts on MG5 Web-Based UI

Hi All,

Is there a recommended way of adding additional cuts to the online event generator?

Specifically, I would like to require a minimum azimuthal separation between two charged leptons at the parton level (like "drll" in run_card.dat but without the eta requirement). I suspected I would have to modify run_card.dat but evidently there is no such variable. One option obviously is to hard code these cuts locally, which would work, but is also involved and does not offer the option of running jobs on the MG cluster. Are there any other soultions to my problem?

Hi Richard,

For this particular case, the deltaR cut is weaker than a delta(phi) cut. So if you need to run on the cluster, I would suggest to simply use a deltaR cut and then cut the resulting events based in delta(phi). If you want to run locally, you can always follow the way the deltaR cut is implemented and implement a delta(phi) cut.
