Run_card.dat

Asked by NADY

Hi Johan,
In the file "run_car,dat" in my process
under Minimum and maximum pt's
I found that
1d5 = ptlmax ! maximum pt for the charged leptons
Here "1d5" what does it stand for?
Cheers,
Nady

Hello Nady,

1d5 = 1e5 (1\times 10^5). This is just a large number (in GeV). It should be larger than the CM energy of the collider.

Best,
Johan

Hi Johan
Thanks
if i want to just the |eta|<2.5 then i will change these lines in run_card.dat
2.5 = etal ! max rap for the charged leptons
0d0 = etaamin ! min rap for the photons
by
2.5 = etal ! max rap for the charged leptons
2.5 = etaamin ! min rap for the photons
True or false

Hello Nady,

etaX and etaXmin give the maximum and minimum absolute rapidities. So you should leave the parameters at their default values.
