The installer wants `python-distutils-extra`.

Asked by Dinir Nertan

I am using Debian 8 + xfce and wanted to get some help from MenuLibre.

I installed every dependencies listed on the readme file and ran `sudo python3 setup.py install`.
It says `To build menulibre you need https://launchpad.net/python-distutils-extra`.

I found that it's listed in the repository I use so I installed it using `sudo apt-get install python-distutils-extra`.
And I tried to install again.
It says `To build menulibre you need https://launchpad.net/python-distutils-extra`.

Now I need help.

It was not a big problem. I misread the texts on the homepage, thought installing from the software repositories are only available on Ubuntu.

It seems like I should not try to install this without the package manager.

If installing with python3, be sure to install python3-distutils-extra
