Asked by stewbags

sorry if this sounds really dumb but where do i get the medibuntu package?
Is it available as an iso or i have to download all the individual packages manually?
If so can you give me a place where I can get them?
I asked on IRC but no one answered probably cos my questions so dumb

did you try to search 'medibuntu' on google ?

Go to http://www.medibuntu.org, then click on the 'repository' page, then follow instructions :)

I had the same problem, and I downloaded using the following wget command.

wget -r -m -np -x -A _i386.deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/pool/

Hope that I dont run into any dependency issues when I try to install.

I hear you can also mirror the repository using reprepos. Then you can use
apt-get on your downloaded files hopefully.

Errr! looks like my problem was slightly different, I wanted to install fiesty on a system without
net connection, so needed a downloaded copy of medibuntu packages.

You can use apt-get install -d to download the packages you want from the repository, or use dget to download the package you need (dget http://medibuntu.org/pool/whatever/the_package_you_want.dsc)
