Could be AMR-enabled mplayer added?

Asked by Roman Polach

I cannot imagine the life with Ubuntu without Medibuntu repositories.
Thanks a lot for maintaining it!
Until now I worked in Edgy and I use also ThaiGrid repository which includes
versions of mplayer + mencoder + ffmpeg with enabled support for AMR audio format.
Now I want to switch to Edgy and see that Medibuntu/Feisty repo includes
ffmpeg + libavcodec that seems to contain support for AMR according to changelogs.
But unfortunately, mplayer and mencoder have statically linked own libavcodec,
so they cannot profit from Medibuntu's AMR-enabled libavcodec.
So please, could you also add AMR-enabled versions of mplayer and mencoder
to Medibuntu/Feisty repository?

"switch to Edgy": ...I mean "switch to Feisty"...

Is there any other possibility to get AMR-enabled mplayer in Feisty without need of mplayer recompilation?

no, there's no solution to add amr support without recompilation
