Does the shield and app work with android tablets like Galaxy or Zoom

I would like to trial the shield and tekla app with switch and joystick for people with severe disabilities but need information about this possibility.

Hola Michele,

The app should install and work as usual on any tablet as long as its user interface implements the required accessibility features such as focus highlighting and keyboard navigation support.

Our brief tests with the Xoom revealed the app works reasonably well, however, the built-in user interface highlighting was not very clear so it was ease to get lost. If you get a chance, I would recommend testing with the ADW launcher, which should provide better highlighting.

Others have reported good support on the Galaxy Tab and the Dell Streak. That said, we are in the process of tweaking the app so it provides better support for large screens so your trials should be very helpful to us, however, you can expect some rough edges, specially at the beginning.
