xine-vdpau support in Me-tv

Asked by zK

Hi,

I'm trying Xine and ffmpeg with vdpau support to play smoothly HD channels ( My quad core can't keep up , pretty strange though).

Playing the tv with just Xine works and VDPAU acceleration is in place , but when using Me-tv i think it doesn't kick in and still uses old xv acceleration, i'm using the same xine.config in Xine and Me-tv.

Is it possible to add support for xine-vdpau in Me-tv?

Me TV will just use the xine-lib on you system i.e. if your xine-lib has support so does Me TV. What video driver are you using in the Me TV preferences dialog?

After "writing" vdpau in the driver section of Me-tv I can use vdpau acceleration for Me-tv. Vdpau it's still in beta but with it i can play view hd channels pretty decently.

Still would be nice to have an option to choose instead of "writing" the driver name in the "driver form"; Is it possible to have that in a future release?

Thanks
