Import of channels.conf impossible (DVB-S Astra 19.2)

Asked by Michi73 on 2009-12-29

I've scanned the channels of my DVB-S-TV-Card with w_scan (w_scan -fs -sS19E2 >> /home/.../channels.conf). Error: "Fehler: Invalid parameter count on line 1"
Than I've converted the channels.conf with gedit to UTF-8 --- import failed with the error again.
Now I've copy&paste the channels.conf from vdr-wiki via gedit --- import failed again.

What can I do? What's the correct channels.conf-File for import?

Linux Mint Helena (=Ubuntu 9.10) and me-tv 1.0.0 via Synaptic

Hi...

I hope that the information I give here is correct! (as I don't have DVB-S)

The version of w_scan I'm using is 20090808,

The syntax (from what I understand) needs to be in the format of 'w_scan -fs -s <SATELLITE_ID> [ options ]' so try appending to what you have used the '-x' see how that goes, then if that still isn't the right format then try '-X'

Failing this, is there someone in your area that you could check to see what they are using, failing that then maybe a post to the DVB mailing list may provide further information.

As Me TV doesn't rely on w_scan to generate its channel information!

Let us know how you get on ;-)

Can you help with this problem?
