Problems installing - me-tv-1.0.2.tar.gz

G'Day Michael, I tries to install the above version of me-TV on Karmic (9.10) using the the "./configure" option as this seemed the easy way to in install a tar ball (which I hate). It started the check processed and bombed out at:

checking for SQLITE... configure: error: Package requirements (sqlite3 >= 3.0) were not met:

No package 'sqlite3' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables SQLITE_CFLAGS
and SQLITE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

'sqlite3' is install according the Synaptic Package Manager, I am not sure how to set the environment variables SQLITE_CFLAGS
and SQLITE_LIBS if this is to difficult to explain in this forum I might have to wait until either Ubuntu or Launchpad.net (michael) release a deb package. Thanks, Kevin

Save yourself some headache, and use my ppa on Launchpad...
https://launchpad.net/~vk7hse/+archive/ppa there you will have i386 &
amd64 .debs built you can either just download the .deb or add the ppa
to you /etc/apt/sources.list (don't forget to add the Key) then as I
build newer versions they will update auto magically ...

Well I try to keep my ppa up to date with the current source! ... if I
ever fall behind just email me! ;)
